About:

Eric Androvich is a freelance lighting designer and lighting console programmer specializing in Commercials and Music Videos. Eric has been a proud member of IATSE Local 728 since 2013. To see a list of projects Eric has worked on, view his resumé.

Bio:

Eric’s lighting career began in highschool when he garnered an interest for theater lighting, and subesquently went on to be the lighting designer and dimmer board operator for 9 theatrical productions in a 4 year span. While independently pursuing both theater lighting and filmmaking, Eric learned that cinematography was a way to combine both interests into one.

Eric attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, was accepted into the cinematography discipline, and graduated with a BFA in Filmmaking. While there, he studied under a number of working professionals. He became the go-to technician when lighting control and dimming were required on student films during his time there.

Eric moved to Los Angeles in late 2011, and in Spring of 2013 he became a member of IATSE Local 728 working mostly as a lighting technician. He committed to being exclusively a lighting programmer in 2014 and continues that today, while also seeking out lighting design opportunities.
